I got my new Church Audio mikes today. Only thing I need now is a recorder that records in stereo. I am considering the Olympus WS320M. How would I go about hooking up the mikes to it? The main question I have, however, is how can I camouflage these? Church Audio's standard binoral mikes are bigger than I thought they would be, and I really don't want to let my parents down by sending them back for the smaller ones unless it is made absolutely necessary. I plan to do a lot of sound-seeing tours with them, particularly amusement park and carnival rides. I have got to find a way to somehow make them as inconspicuous as I can. I will not wear something over them. That distorts the recording and does not make it sound good. Any help would be appreciated.
John, I don't have the 300 but do have the 200 and I would think the only way you can attach a pair of mikes to this unit would be a stereo Y connector that would one mike to pick up left channel and the other right channel. Now, where to place them when you are riding the rolercoaster I can't tellya. The problem of course with any type of recording like that is if you keep mikes on your person the possibillity of getting allot of rubbing against clothing noise as movement occurs makes the recording difficult. I would certainly be interested in seeing what you come up with. Hmm, does this mean now we can start an audio engineers topic? Wonder if there would be any takers for that one? Take care.
